Currently there is not but I have put a request in to our engineering dept to implement a delete feature. Stay tuned.

Stating the obvious here. You may also tell engineering that due to passkey messages, the final outpost of "networking" amongst players has been ruined. It's pretty much impossible to see and respond to "taunts" from players if you're really working passkeys. I expect this is, or should be, contrary to internal objectives of building a community.

btw, forum moderation has also done significant damage to the "community building" objective...assuming it is even an objective.

I agree -- when I first signed up I was shocked that it wasn't just my first post but all posts are moderated. :? Virtually unheard of in a forum. I emailed support with the suggestion of just deleting bad posts instead of queuing every single one. They said I wasn't waiting that long at all, so they didn't see what the problem was... but they'd talk about it. Guess they decided against.

In the past our system was to delete posts that go against our forum rules but we realized it was more productive for us to have our mods and our support team approve posts. Generally all posts are approved within 12 hours so it should not be too long of a delay. This way we keep our boards clean and easy to navigate.

Except your entire community died because of it. Trust me, I was a large part of it.

Forgive me, but 1 hour would a long delay, let alone 12. Sometimes I post and completely forget about it until I get an email hours later saying it's been approved. Then by the time anyone's response gets approved I've forgotten about it again. It's just so prohibitive. I also don't post sometimes because I don't want to bother with the whole process.

Stereo you are right. I've made this comment before, but Mod's deleted it. Before moderation and the "fight formula update" you could log onto the forum and see no less than 20 people using it. Since then, I've never seen more than 5. Facts are facts. Attribute the loss of community to whatever you want to...

It use to be a good place to get information, but now it takes too long to get a response or to even be helpful if you are trying to answer a question. By the time your post is approved, there have already been another dozen replies that may make your reply obsolete or not needed (how's that productive for anyone?)

There may have been a few bad apples but did AS have to take an axe and chop down the tree?

As far as messages, I know they changed it so you only see the most current (50 or so?) messages, but if you did want to look up a prior conversation you may be out of luck if you have too many new messages for key exchanges. Why not do what most email systems do and auto-delete after so many days? I imagine these message have to be piled up on a server somewhere so why not free up some space?
